Swedish born artist, Anna U. Davis, moved with her husband and son to Washington, D.C. twenty years ago in order to pursue a Studio Arts degree at the University of the District of Columbia. Her art is abstract, using mixed media and collages to depict raw images of life and conflict. Long after graduating and establishing herself as a D.C. artist, in 2013, Anna was diagnosed with breast cancer. After her diagnosis, and during her treatment, Anna kept a sketchbook to document her experiences in and out of treatment. Later, with the help of her husband Peter, she brought these drawings to life, creating large, three-dimensional displays. Anna U. Davis: A Documentary will take you on the journey with Anna as she discovers her strength in the face of adversity through her true medicine: Art.
